This is a great little restaurant. Actually, it’s not that little — it’s fairly spacious. Or at least it always used to feel that way because whenever I went there didn’t seem to be that many people inside and I have no idea why, as the food is great and the service is lovely. I used to go here a lot when I worked in the Jewellery Quarter — every now and then we’d all pile down en masse, but the staff never seemed phased by this, and the orders always arrived in good time, all together, and everything was delicious. It’s family run, and the family who owns it are always really friendly. Plus they give you complimentary tea and dessert sweets at the end of the meal. Love that. Things to note: the menu is not extensive, so if you don’t like grilled chicken or lamb there aren’t masses of other options. Also, they aren’t licensed and you can’t bring your own, so it’s definitely a place to eat, rather than to eat and drink. But for food and for friendly, generous service, I would definitely recommend them.
