I’m glad I booked my table ahead if time as when we turned up people who hadn’t booked were turned away. This is a sign of a popular restaurant! The atmosphere was really good. Very busy, a lovely open fire nicely laid out tables and that real warm inviting traditional british pub feel. I ordered the sea bass with Mediterranean vegetables and salsa followed by peanut butter and toffee cheesecake flushed down with a few pints of Bombadier. Food was great, worth the reasonable value and the service was excellent!

Nice pub with friendly staff. Chose to visit as our hotel’s restaurant was closed for refurb. Good food, nice atmosphere and our waitress Sonya was attentive and friendly. Closed earlier than I’d expect a pub to close (10:30pm, but it was a bank holiday) Would visit again.

Located close by my UK office and nearby the NEC as well, this place feels like you are walking into a close friend or relative’s home. Very cozy feeling with fireplaces and comfortable chairs/​couches. Honestly, this is exactly what I expect a typical British pub/​eatery to look and feel like.
This place offers quite a few different drinks on tap with wine and liquor as well. No comment on the alcohol here as I opted for water.
The food is traditional British cuisine with a number of fish/​vegetarian options. I choose the fish pie, which quite honestly, was disappointing. The vegetables on the side were limp and far from fresh (unfrozen and heated up without any flavorings at all). The fish pie was not filling at all and lacked flavoring as well.
I hesitated in giving this place 2 or 3 stars and in the end decided it could be rated higher for the atmosphere and potential. I think I ordered a poor dish and should have gotten the fish and chips instead, so I’ll be trying that out next time along with one of there many desserts (too bad there wasn’t the time to eat a dessert!)

Oo think I might be being a bit harsh but I’ve eaten here twice now and both times the food was nothing to write home about. Especially the ‘fish finger’ sandwich which arrived before I’d got back to my seat after ordering and paying at the bar and looked liked it had been sat on the side of the kitchen for a while. They weren’t fish fingers either… those weird goujon things and the bread was stale. The outside area is nice enough but smelt like some sewage may of been leeking from somewhere when we went. I wouldn’t make the effort to go here again but the convenience for a post work drink is probably the only positive.

Always enjoyed the food here, but it’s generic fare on the weekends.
Next door to Britain’s exhibition centre, it’s hardly. Not surprising that the chef takes the weekends off while the tumbleweeds and church bells ring in this desolate wasteland occupied by sales reps midweek.

Great little local place. Waitress was smoking hot! Food was typical English food but I also felt it was a step above the usual. I enjoyed myself here. I had the wild boar/​chorizo burger and it was very good. One very odd thing about this restaurant is they do not have onions. Yes, you heard me, no onions. I’m sorry, but I like onions on my burger so if I had one thing to say about this place is to get some damn onions in the house!

Die Speisekarte ist gut und trotz ihrer Vielfalt nicht überfrachtet. Die Tagesempfehlungen sind wie die Tagessuppe auch einen Blick wert.
Die Speisen sind gut zubereitet und ordentlich angerichtet. Keine ⁰⁸⁄₁₅ Einheitsbrei mit Zutaten aus dem TK-​Fach. Die Qualität von Fleisch, Gemüse und Beilagen ist so, wie man sie sich wünscht.
Der Service ist nett, schnell und zuvorkommend.
Ich war jetzt 3 x dort und werde wieder hingehen.

Wer dem nebenan liegendem tristen Holiday Inn Express entfliehen und lecker in uriger, gemütlichen Atmosphäre speisen möchte, dem sei diese Pub an’s Herz gelegt.
Liebevoll eingerichtet, stets gut besucht aber nicht überfüllt.
Die Steaks sind lecker, auf die Minute gegrillt, lecker angerichtet. Und auch der Klassiker Fish & Chips ist hier nicht aus der Tiefkühltruhe, sondern frisch im hauseigenen Bierteig zubereitet.
Das beste Lokal in unmittelbarer Nähe des NEC!

Fine Chef & Brewer branded pub with good food and a cosy interior. The outside area is good in the summer. Right by the NEC and just down the road from the airport. Good range of beers on tap
Only negative is the amount of time to get served.
