Highbury Park is a popular, large Kings Heath park edged by Shutlock Lane, Avenue Road, and Kings Heath High Street. It’s probably best known for Highbury Hall, the home of parliamentarian Joseph Chamberlain MP(was the father of the Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain). It’s a park of about 40ish acres in size, which is well tended(there’s a ranger/warden) with large open places but also with a variety of trees well established so lovely sense of tranquillity and peacefulness. I like to cycle through in the summer, dodging walkers and dog walkers! There are some ponds/pools and an arboretum. Gates closed at dusk.
