Pit Stop

Really dislike the «food» here! Only gets busy on friday and saturday nights (around 3am) when all of the clubbers come pouring out of the clubs for greasy burgers and chips! Other than that i’ve never seen this place busy with sober people wanting a bite to eat, so what does that tell you? Wouldn’t recommend this place for food at all

This is reasonable priced takeaway if you want buy quick bite. Me and my flat mate often go here after she finishes in early hours of morning. You get your food quickly and the staff are nice. This is also a great place if you need a takeaway on night out on broad street and i have tried the others down the road and food here is cheaper price and taste better.

Every now and again in your life (mostly after a big night out) you just need some seriously greasy food! This take away a good selection of food on offer perfect for those carb loving moments.
The chicken in pitta is always pretty tasty. It comes in a toasted pitta full of salad and the chicken is freshly carved in front of you. I recommend trying the mint yogurt sauce as it really complements the food.
The chips can sometimes be a bit hit and miss as like with all take aways, the chips can often sit there for a long time. They taste best when fresh so definitely worth sticking around another few minutes whilst they fry some up.
The venue itself is pretty average with large display fridges and tiled flooring. I’ve always found that the service is really quick, even on a weekend evening.

The area between London, Oxford, and Cambridge is often referred to as ‘The Golden Triangle’, thanks to the high prestige held by the Universities within the area. The Bermuda Triangle is an area in the North Atlantic, legendary due to its propensity to disappear ships and aircrafts. I propose that the curve near the end of Broad Street should now too be given such an accolade — ‘The Greasy Triangle’ — due to the sheer amount of takeaways compared to anything else around. Pit Stop do all the usual suspects — burgers, kebabs, pizza — and also advertise a Persian restaurant around the back of the premises, although I’ve never figured out if they’re affiliated, or how to get to it. The prices are some of the best on Broad Street — £2 for a burger, £3.49 for a regular pizza (making it the only truly viable alternative to the wonderful Bella Pizza), or £5.49 for a regular pizza, drink, and chips. One of the better takeaways in the area.

A typical spot for fans of Broad Streets finest to head after a night out. I regularly pass by in the day-​time, but I am yet to see ‘Pit Stop’ busy, well, as busy as it can get on a Friday and Saturday night.
The food there, from what I have experienced is mediocre at best. A standard fries and burger combo plugged a hole but failed to satisfy any real sense of hunger.
All in all, a typically cheap and cheerful takeaway, making the majority of its income from drunk revelers after a night out on Broad Street.
