So so glad I came into this place! At first I was greeted by a whole host of vegetables I had never heard of let alone seen! A lot of vegetable which had been once obscure to me(mainly of the courgette family I would guess) where glistening in front of my eyes. They were amongst such wonders as fresh guavas and chillies and a large variety of healthy looking fruit and vegetables. There was a fish section filled with whole frozen fish. I even spotted some teeth intact. Amongst the fish there were even frozen quails! At the back of the shop they have a halal butchers which should be avoided if you’re squeamish. The shop mainly caters for local Asian families who may cook in large quantities for family occasions as I guessed from the industrial sized cans of ghee and bags of basmati rice. A friend of mine told me about sachets you can get to make your own Ras Malai and I found it! Boom.
