This place is small and tightly packed into an old warehouse next to the canal in Cotteridge. Car parking is tight, so get there early if you’re attending a child’s party, but the place functions very well as a party and play area. Food is okay, fairly standard fare, and the usual assortment of slush puppies and so on to wash things down with. If you want a day that’s full of fat and sugar for your kids, you’re in luck, but you’re better off bringing something with you if you want to prevent them from bouncing off the walls afterwards!

When you’re the parent of a toddler, and also the main carer, as I am, you tend to get to know these places quite quickly. There are numerous playbarns around South Brum and this is one of the good ones. I like it mainly because it appears to be quieter than others(Hickory Dickories in Kings Heath can be ridiculous at times). The probably reason for this is that Tumble Jungle is tucked away on an small industrial estate on a side street that leads to the council dump! Don’t let that put you off, though. This is a clean, friendly and safe play environment for the kids, and my little boy loves it here.

So, this is what happens when you’re a freelancer — you end up accompanying friends with toddlers and hanging out in Tumble Jungle… During term time, the Tumble Jungle is great for kids. To be honest, I’m sometimes a little jealous that kids get all the fun. I could easily hang out in Soft Play myself all day — if I didn’t think I’d get some seriously suspicious looks… Apparently it gets a bit nuts here in the school holidays, but when there’s a bit more space, the kids have a whale of a time. It’s small enough that parents can sit on the big leather sofas and have a natter while the kids can play within sight/earshot, so everyone’s a winner. It’s also cheaper than Hickory Dickory in Kings Heath.

I like this place. Its smaller than some others like this but its really cheap(free for an hour before they walk) and for small kids it probably still looks massive. There’s easily enough to do there. Great for using energy. It could do with more cleaning but kids dont care about that. There are a few different slides as well as ball pools, football areas and all sorts of things. Parents can go up with little ones — better than aerobics! There is food but I havnt tried it. I go there regularly and meet with friends. Worth and try and you can see for yourself if you are worried about the cleaning. As many adults can go in with one child as you like and think — and the grandparents love having fun too!

This is an indoor play area for children that my eldest went to for a party. It is quite gruby and dark and looks really dingy. There is not enough space for buggies etc and parking is quite limited. The food was a bit oily i was told by son. The party room was very dark and boiling hot. I would give it a miss if your paying to get in, as you can get better for the same price. But eventhough i didn’t like it my son had a fab time.
