Popped in for a short meeting at the Starbucks. What’s disappointing is that this Starbucks is a chain and therefore you cannot use your app. However as a service station it’s really interesting… WH smiths, Waitrose, Pizza Parlour, KFC, Burger King and two Starbucks, also a smaller phone store and arcade area. They have a really large food sitting area with some conifer areas for relaxing too. Outside is pleasant with a dog walking area and children’s okay area, adjacent to some outside seating.

If I were ever forced to pick between «Costa and M&S» or «Starbucks and Waitrose» I would, ultimately, choose the Starbucks/​Waitrose service station alliance.
And that is exactly what Hopwood Park Services offers! Hurrah!
These are modern and relatively smart services located at J2 of the M42. They are located at a single site, easily accessed from the east and westbound carriageways.
Once there, you get Starbucks, Waitrose, Burger King, KFC, WH Smiths AND a picnic area.
Better than some of the sixties concrete monstrosities that haunt West Midlands motorways.
