Zaffs’ chicken and chips is a great shout after a night out. When I say ‘chips’ I mean ‘fries’. To my knowledge you can rarely find a good British chip after 3 in the morning so you just have to settle for fries. I’m usually quite inebriated when in Zaffs so I’m not sure if my review will be entirely accurate. The food I’ve tried is tasty however my friend’s chicken fillet burger was bright red as if it had come straight out a tandoor oven or a vat of red dye. She seems to munch it down all the same. I associate Zaffs with that guilty morning after feeling which isn’t a reflection on their food or service. I remember having a heated argument with a guy behind the tills because of something rude he said to me. But I can’t remember the particulars or even what he looks like.

Depending on the amount of alcohol I have consumed, Zaffs either makes me punch the air with delight, or else wave the white flag. This is a place I rarely visit when sober and have often found myself weaving a path to their counter after 3 too many in the nearby Old Moseley Arms. In fairness to Zaffs, the food is pretty good, so you don’t need to have drank your fill to enjoy it. The kebabs are main with freshly baked naan and you can see your naan being made, which is a fairly novel experience, and the Indian snacks, such as the shami kebabs and samosas are fresh and tasty. You can get pretty much everything in here — Fish and Chips, Pizzas, Kebabs, Curries — and all for a fairly reasonable price. It’s very popular with the local community and with taxi drivers, so you can sometimes have a bit of a wait.

On a row where businesses seem to struggle Zaffs has been a fixture for many years, open from early afternoon until late at night. It’s another of those businesses that cover all the major fast food groups — kebabs, pizzas, burgers, southern fried chicken, curries and samosas. I’ve eaten there several times but find it difficult to find much to say about the food. I cannot recall it being particularly good or bad, nothing that made me want to boycott the place forever or rush back. I guess that Zaffs main selling point is reliability at a competitive price. These guys know what they’re doing and they’ll have you stuffing your face with your favourite health risk in no time at all. There’s a lot more seating than in many similar outlets but I can’t really imaigne anyone wanting to eat there apart from convenience as it’s not exactly the most attractive place in the world, with off white tiled surfaces and plastic seating. In conclusion, I’d say that if it fits your shedule, by all means go to Zaffs, just don’t expect it to blow your mind, and don’t take a date there as the romance level is fairly low.

This eatery is lovely they do variety of delicous meals including pizzas of different sizes and toppings. I have been there today and had a meal which took less than minutes to make. However, i also ordered a pizza and it was taking long to make before i was told that the machine was not working. But as a complimentary gesture they offered a small size pizza for free, which was kind of them and which tasted lovely. I think the place could do with abit of cleaning with the of chilli and mayonnaise bottles which do look stained from the outside. And also the cleansing sink could also do with a bit of maintenance work. Other than those things it was a pleasure to eat in.
