My son goes with his school every year and will be going in 2 weeks. he loves it and it is very child friendly.

Although I haven’t been since a kid, I remember Blackwood Miners Institute being THE place to go. With my school we would visit all the time for shows, theatre, cinema or just days out.
The Miners Institute is situated at the end of the High Street but since massive developement in Blackwood and since changing borough to Caerphilly — The institute is more apart of the High Street than ever before.
If your looking for a night out, watching a film or a performance I would seriously recommend BMI — Although it’s not big, not super fancy — it’s a place of history with alot to offer and still very reasonably priced.
