Mecca Bingo

The only thing I knew about Mecca Bingo was that it is a casino for Grannies. My assumption or knowledge was proved right last night.
I was attending a Lifestyle expo fair yesterday at Mecca Bingo in Bolton, it is very close from the station just a few minutes walk. The building is massive and modern looking with automatic doors and a very casino like feel. When I entered the staff were very friendly and chatty greeting me with a big hello and how was my day kind of talk (It is always nice after a mission of a journey when someone asks you that). After I signed in, a very polite man escorted me to the venue. I must say the main lobby area is absolutely gigantic, with tables spread out like a huge conference hall.
The crowd definitely was above 50 and most of them looked like they were retired and this was their way of spending their regular evenings. The whole place was extremely quiet as everyone there was trying to concentrate hard on those numbers the girl at the mike kept saying in a sing song tone (2 — 9– twenty nine la la la). I knew I would get nightmares about her sing song way of saying numbers later and guess what that actually did happen (Christ sake).
Verdict: If you are a bingo fan or your Granny is one, this could be a good place to take her out for an evening! (I am definitely not going back again)

Bizarre bingo hall reminds me of something Peter Kay would show on one of his sketches. I got told of for dabbing too loud! 1 womans phone rang and another was going mad. Bizarre place
