There is a vast selection of products, food and services at this Tesco. This is my closest Extra, so I am a regular here. But today, in addition for a weekly shop, we got music for a long car journey, glasses from the opticians, make up for an event later on(has oodles of beauty products), a present for a new born baby, and a pie dish for cooking. Their staff I have always found really helpful and smiley, something most Tesco’s are starting to lack. The cashiers are always happy to chat or at least wish you a happy day and point out our petrol savings that you have made. The pharmacy is good too and it brilliant for that moment when you panic your foot is falling off and need some quick advice. Yes it is not as cheap as Aldi or Lidl but I love a good Tesco and this is one of the better ones when it comes to customer service.

Situated on the site of the original movie studios of Moby Dick, Superman and other movies now sits a two story Tescos. I had not been in a UK supermarket for 14 years and I have to say they have changed. It reminded me of a french hypermarket, very plain and boring inside with just shelves of food. What happened to the well presented nicely displayed merchandise. I guess times have changed and Tescos is too busy with volume to warrant spending the time on presentation and repair. Cheap goods placed on shelves. Thats what you will find here. Confusing one way car park, and dont forget your pound coins for the trolleys! Still there’s always Morrisons!

It’s big,(even bigger since they expanded it) has a huge range, and yet they often seem to run out of anything I happen to be looking for at any time. It’s a shame Morrisons have done such a lackluster job with their Stirling Corner store as Tescos still pretty much have the monopoly.

This is huge Tesco Superstore! They have a big carpark with plenty of parking as long as you aren’t hung up on always being in the front row. There is a fair amount of disabled parking, but not enough parent and child parking. This Tesco has a monopoly in Borehamwood as there are no other big supermarkets. Downstairs is the grocery and upstairs is the electrical, dvd and clothing department. They have a massive clothing department with its own checkout and changing rooms. Its never too busy and easy to walk around with a trolley or pushchair. They seems to carry the full range of Tesco clothing. For all that the grocery section is big, they do tend to run out of stock of things. They are able to carry some more unusual items especially in the world foods aisles, as they have more space. They tend to have plenty of cashiers open, but its still gets busy as this store is serving a big area so there are lots of customers.
