As student Unions go, this one isn’t bad, the drinks are cheap, the food is cheap, both taste good. but something is lacking? Despite the flat screen showing music videos or football, and the music being turned up loud, this combined with the pool tables just doesn’t make a union bar which makes you think wow what an amazing union! there is something lacking in décor and definetly something lacking in the staff but maybe thats just because they are on the side of the bar where they can look at the booze but not touch? Socially Bournemouth University struggles to hold its own against the lively town centre, with a sprawling campus not all the students are near to the union and bar owners in the town know this so compete with drinks prices making the union great for a drink between lectures or after exams, but not necesarily where you’d choose to spend Friday night
