Tapas Plus

This place is a hidden gem! Felt like being on holiday in Spain! We went a bit crazy on ordering as like to try everything and tapas is perfect for us! Food was excellent! Staff were full of positive energy which really liked! Thanks Tapas Plus for Truly authentic Spanish restaurant. Well done

Nice selection of tapas. Would have preferred to have enjoyed my meal without the smokers at the table next to us, but that’s no fault of our waiter. Paying 2.95£ for four small slices of bread with olive oil seemed a bit excessive. There are three tapas bars all in a row on this strip, so one has their choice.

I greatly enjoyed the chicken roll with mint sauce and
the lamb chops. I’ve also had the breakfast here and enjoyed the
breakfast rolls. Lamb
chunks were so tender and savory, they will melt in your mouth and the seasoned
rice complimented it effortlessly. A bit spicy, but I got a side of
cucumber on top, and the combination was very great.

Absolutely amazing food. You HAVE to eat here rather than the well known chain a few doors away. The mussels in the creamy sauce are to die for.

Popped in here for an early dinner. Only had tapas, but had a great meal. Highly recommend it.

One of the best restaurants and bars in Bournemouth — and definitely the best Spanish restaurant and tapas Two places really — Tapas Plus 1 is a more traditional restaurant and right next door, Tapas Plus 2 is the more modern, livelier place, with a great bar which is really popular with locals and visitors to Bournemouth — very lively normally on a Friday, so go next door to Tapas Plus 1 if you are looking for a more formal sit down meal. Food is all fresh and authentic Spanish and good selection of Spanish beers, wines and spirits too. Service is great, thanks to the Dominguez family that own it and excellent Spanish waiting staff. They have a good website, which includes an authenticated review system, so you know feedback is genuine (just like the food!)

Not a completely successful experience.
On a Friday the place was quite busy, and there was a large group on one table which may explain it, but the place was too hot and much too noisy.
The meat balls, chicken and chorizo dishes were all good, but the garlic prawns were «fishy» and didn’t taste right. We complained and swapped it for another «tiger prawn» dish: although the sauce was tasty, the prawns were exceptionally discoloured, mushy textured and tasteless.
The tapas dishes were all around £5 each, and the house wine was good value at £12.50.
Would I go there again? Not by choice, I’d go to the nearby La Tasca which is generally nicer and much more consistent, very dissapointing.

The food here is always outstanding, and the staff are always excellent. Far far better than la tasca. If you like authentic Spanish food this is the place to go In Bournemouth.

This restaurant is far better than the Tapas chain a couple of doors up.
The service is friendly and the whole experience feels far more authentic than chain establishments.
This place handles groups with prior notice well. I have taken a group of 15 in here several times for lunch and we have all eaten far too well and waddled out within in an hour.

A lovely place to visit to make you feel like you are eating tapas in spain. staff are friendly and helpful. good choie of menu and drinks on offer.

Only ended up coming here because a more well known Tapas chain on the same street was too busy.
What good fortune! I can honestly say that the visit here is the best memory of the short trip to Bournemouth.
The staff were great, the venue felt authentic and the food was both good and cheaper than I would have expected. Nice pint of Cruzcampo too!
I would heartily recommend this place!

We come here for every family birthday. It is a typical tapas bar, very Spanish and consequently is a great place for a medium to large sized group to go for some great value food. Everytime we go we always order pretty much every tapas on the menu and have a fair bit to drink. Yo can spend the entire evening in her and it never costs very much. The staf are really friendly, and if you’ve gt the stamina you can go toone of the many other bars afterwards that Bournemouth offers!
