Friendly staff even though it was fairly busy when we visited slight problem with the noisy children sat on the table next to ours running havoc in the place, but then the staff couldn’t very well tell them to sit down when the parents so blithely ignored thier children. Food was good, green curry is amazing as is their tom kha soup.

This place has recently changed to Basil Thai restaurant and it is really really good. The food is still delicious with lovely presentation and attention to detail. The flavours really pop in your mouth and the portion sizes are just right. It was fairly busy when we visited and the service was still very good. The new owner was pleasant and took time to talk to us over dinner. The house wine is a very good wine, should suit most people’s tastes, not too dry or too sweet which is great. They have some lovely wood carvings on the walls and special note must be made of the wooden ship they have as a centrepiece — it’s amazing! I even took a photo of it to show everyone. Give this place a try and I guarantee you’ll be coming back :)

Had a lovely meal here a few months ago. The restaurant wasn’t too busy and the service was very prompt. I had a very nice thai curry with jasmine rice for a very reasonable price. I’ll go back to this place if I’m every in the area again.

A lovely run restaurant in one of Bournemouth’s suburbs and unmissable due to a tuk tuk parked on the pavement outside. Noted for its extensive menu the food is delicious and beautifully prepared. Service is good and the portions generous. Very relaxed atmosphere and popular venue so book in advance. A starter, main course, dessert and a beer will probably cost you a reasonable £25.
