Came to Bournemouth on a day's trip from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire and landed at Weatherspoons. We were there because hubby was thirsty but we ended up having a meal each and were doubly pleased with the Thursday offer. What was most outstanding were the staff. Very attentive and were out to please.
My hubby has been a regular but it was my first encounter foodwise and rest assured, it will happen again.
Thank you for making our trip enjoyable.

Pretty much your standard Wetherspoons! It gets extremely busy all evenings of the week for some reason, especially on weekends, though there is usually somewhere to sit. My main complaint is that there never seems to be enough staff as it’s quite a large place, so tables are often left sticky with spilled beer and piled with other peoples’ smelly rubbish until your own food arrives, which is offputting and makes me want to go elsewhere when there are no clean tables to sit at. The food can be hit-or-miss so I usually play safe and go for the same order every time(a chicken Mexican burger), but if you’re familiar with the standard Wetherspoons food you shouldn’t be too disappointed. I would not recommend bringing children here as there are more family-friendly restaurants in town that are better catered to your needs — there can be large groups of students drinking in here any time of day and so it’s probably not the most suitable environment for small children. At least the service is fairly quick — expect food to arrive in 10 minutes or so after ordering. Staff are generally friendly, and although prices have gone up a little recently, the food is okay value for money. There are plenty of better places to eat in the area but if you’re on a budget and don’t mind the food and environment, it’s definitely an option.

I love this Wetherspoons. It’s a very good size — massive on the inside with loads of tables both upstairs and down. The service was so fast. I don’t think it was even 10 minutes from ordering at the bar to then getting our meals. MOST of the staff were very friendly however I was served by quite a rude woman when I ordered my food at the bar. She was very blunt towards me and the other person I was with, which wasn’t great. But the rest of the staff were excellent. The foods great and it has a good atmosphere!

This is a very busy, very popular, and quite noisy Wetherspoons establishment. If this is not your idea of a great pub it is best avoided. It is probably one of the best pubs in Bournemouth.

Quite a standard weatherspoons. Ok range of beer though there is a ringwood focused bar upstairs. Beer generally only a seven out of ten for quality. Dirs get suite crowded with foreign students. amount of ales available very limited.

Used this pub for a week while i was on holiday and apart from the Goat and Tricycle it had the best choice of cask beer i found in Bournemouth. The service was good the condition of the beers was top class and the food was great and cheap for the area. This is far better than what Wetherspoons make us put up with in the Blackpool and Fylde area.

The Moon is a very large Wetherspoons offering cheap drinks throughout the week which makes it the ideal place to start a night out if you’re pockets are a little shallow, very popular with students(of course) during the week but gets very busy at the weekends with people ‘avin it large’ and stag do’s. At the end of the day, a spoons a spoon.

The décor is typical Wetherspoons decorated with the old pictures that they seem to dig up from a big warehouse somewhere and the fake but pretty lighted ceilings. the menu and drinks available are the same as is available throughout the country. The food is edible and comes in large enough portions to satisfy even the most hungry diner. though some of it is made from lesser quality ingredients its acceptable if your hungry. The atmosphere is reasonably quite with a lack of louts and a few children spotted dining. The only downfall and why I wont be eating in this place again is that on the 3 occasions we have visited the toilets have been absolutley minging! infact on Saturday we had to move to another table to eat our meals as the smell was wafting out and across the seating area when we complained we were fobbed off and told that they had been cleaned about 10 minutes ago we had been sat waiting a good 20 minutes for food and hadnt spotted any staff members going in there so maybe the fairies did it,

Mein lieblings Pub!

Located in the centre of town, opposite the lower gardens, this is a popular place throughout the day. In true Wetherspoons style, the drinks cheap as is the food, although not of great quality, is cheap and popular enough. The décor is old fashioned displaying pictures of old town Bournemouth. A good starting place for a night out, or informal dinner in the evenings. The pub is spread over 2 floors, and is quite spacious, however finding a table isn’t always easy. There is a little outdoor area upstairs, which again can get busy in the summer.

The big plus on the MOTS is that it is located in the heart of the town centre. You can pop in for a drink at any thime during a busy day’s shopping, have a meal during the day or meet up with friends in the early evening. Good range of drinks and food, which is prepared quickly. Informal atmosphere that means you don’t have too dress up. Good mix between a pub and bar and good value too.

Wetherspoons in the heart of Bomo town centre — and it’s not too bad at all. It’s often packed(cheap drinks, cheap food, wifi and location) but you can actually find somewhere a bit cosier to sit upstairs and in the summer the little roof terrace is open which is pleasant. No surprises here — although not a bad pub at all, especially during the week.

A great exmeple of Wetherspoons at its best. Great Value, great size, great location, a real flagship for Wetherspoon. The food here is ways excellent and comes with the level of cervice which is typical of a wetherspoon establishment, very good. The prices are always consistently excellent across the board, the venue is spacious, although being so good means this place is popular. It tends to attract the middle aged and thirty upwards market for some reason, possibly because of the noticeable lack of entertainment and ear bursting music! A good all rounder, with excellent facilites no matter what time of the day you visit.

When we are in the Square at lunch time we will pop into the Moon in the Square for a bite to eat as their prices are so reasonable. The décor leaves a bit to be desired and could do with a bit of a revamp but the food and drink is of an average quality for the price we pay. The service is always good even at busy time. The only thing I find annoying about the pub is that the toilets aren’t always as clean as they should be in the evenings and there is never a table at lunchtimes during weekends. I can live through all this for the cheap drinks I pay for.
