Whitegrove Library

Pros This library is located next to Tesco’s which is useful for a quick book-​break if you’re shopping! The library isn’t huge but has a fairly good selection of books, and I’ve always been able to either find the books I want or order them in from other Bracknell forest libraries. The staff are friendly and helpful and are happy to help with any queries.
Cons I underestimated quite how many pieces of documentation I’d need to open a library card when I joined up so had to go home and come back later, which was annoying.

This is a popular library right by Tescos so there is lots of free parking.
The staff are very good and helpful.
There is a great childrens book area where you can also sit and read, they sometimes have childrens time where someone will read to the children.
It is never very busy so lots of time to walk around and browse the books.
They have a good selection of computer games and ps2 games and lots of others as well as dvds to hire.
There is a section with computers where you can use the internet.

Nice Staff, modern, quiet, child friendly

I was enticed here by a local enthusiast who regaled me with the site’s many virtues, en route. On arrival, I found a welcoming, well-​stocked modern library, set in a bustling community centre.
Members can borrow up to a grand total of 20 books at a time; they’ll even order-​in your desired reading, at no charge. I was very impressed by the wide and appealing magazine selection which I could happily have spent ages browsing through. There’s an excellent (although, sadly, under-​used) child-​friendly section with colourful chairs, toys and a play rug.
In spite of its location — mere yards from a giant Tesco superstore — there was a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Staff are friendly and super-​helpful.
