Grattan

Grattan is a catalogue shop based in Bradford that has been going for years and years and with the wonders of the internet you can now buy online, that’s how I get my goods. As a first time shopper I got 20% off my first order, a steam mop, which made it a pretty good deal. They do a lot of free gifts and offers which mean general catalogue shopping is noq quite affordable though I would avoid their electrical goods as even with 20% off they are still way overpriced and you can pick up cheaper. The clothes seem good and they carry a lot of brand names. If you are busy or want to pay month by month I recommend it. ²⁴⁄₇ shopping on the site and excellent phone customer service.

I have been a Grattans customer for many years. They are a mail order company and send out catalogues to their customers, where you can browse the wide selection of clothing, toys, furniture, electrical goods etc. They sell just about everything.
They offer free delivery and free returns, and you can spread your payments. You can order over the telephone, or online on their website. The website is good because it tells you straight away if an item is in stock or not.
I’ve always found the staff to be really helpful, but I prefer to order online as they have started using an 0871 number for telephone calls, and I resent paying extra!
I think Grattans are basically the same company as Freemans, although I didn’t know this when I applied for both catalogues! Mind you, it does often seem like Grattans have different items in the sale to those offered by Freemans, so I sometimes think it’s worth having both!
You also get a little bit of your money back. Every time you make a payment to your account, you get a percentage into your ‘commission’ pot, which you can then use against future orders, or have the money applied to your account to pay off what you already owe.
On some items you do pay more when buying from a catalogue than if you went to the High Street, but you do need to consider the convenience of the catalogue, and the fact that you can spread your payments interest free. Overall, I would recommend using Grattans. Good products and great service.
