First-​Hand Experience: I’ve seen Brentford play a few times, two specifically that I remember well, when I was younger. They have lovely fans but the team was never particularly inspiring back in the days when I was going to matches every weekend.
I saw them live many moons ago at Oxford United’s Manor Ground, and also saw them at Griffin with some friends from Oxford, those were the days. They are the Bees and they are currently going through some of their best times in a long time, flying high in the second tier, trying to find a way to force themselves into the Premier League, and we’ll see if they managed to do it.
Formed in 1889, they play in red and white. In the rich leafy western burbs of London, not that we really need any more London teams.
They have been up there before, for a good few seasons before the second world war, but of course never won it.
5^th, 6^th and 6^th were the highest they ever got to, 3 years in a row. They play in front of 12k fans.
