Joy Fook Chinese

I had a great night here the food is excellent, the staff are very polite and helpful, it’s a very big Chinese that turns into a disco bar .
Once every one has finished eating at about 10 o’clock this place turns into a club, it has a dance floor lots of space a great cocktail menu and choice of beverage .
It’s a fantastic night out or it can be a good day out since it is situated on a golf course. I’ve played here several times but never been in there at lunch time I’m afraid, I here they do a great buffet lunch .
I would recommend this place to anyone.

Gorgeous tasteful chinese resturant. A happy place for family. Lovely food. They have brilliant menu’s. The sunday buffet is great value for money. Sometimes the staff can be a bit rude but they are rushed off their feet. Good place for celebrations and parties.

I would describe Joy Fook as a luxury Chinese restaurant as the restauant itself is really top notch. I have been in some Chinese places whcih were rather drab so Joy Fook came as a pleasant surprise in that it was so nice on the inside. There is plenty of parking outside. The food is very good indeed. The menu has a great choice of classic dishes plus beers and wines. They do buffet nights as well though we did not try this when we went there. Joy Fook is a fair old distance from both Brentwood and Ongar and I am not sure if there are buses so best to drive or take a cab. Well worth a visit though especially for special occasions.

The food was fantastic and it is not too badly priced but the bad thing… it is in the middle of no-​where and cabs back to mine cost £27 so it worked out an expensive night

Well, I ventured a little further this time to meet some old work mates. Joy Fook is a huge Chinese restaurant, down a dark road, standing all alone with bags of parking for all your in-​laws & out-​laws !!!
The place was PACKED — actually, it was heaving! There were two wedding parties, 4 birthday parties and about 6 tables of noshers spead out across 5 interconnected dinning areas.
The food takes a while to arrive but it’s plentiful and really quite good. I put it in the elasticated-​waist category of nights out. £25 a head minimum charge for vegetarian!
People were very happy, lots of wine and champagne being carried around, lots of hot ladies with generous figures squeezing passed my chair to find the rest rooms.
Then after 9.30pm the dance floor came alive and we were all transported into the time-​warped database of all good DJsand conversation naturally ceased after this point but plenty of people got up to have a bop.
So, if you’re expecting a quiet Chinese meal –forget it. This place is extremely popular for parties with lots of cleavage busting out of tight satin dresses; long legs; and Stevie Wonder blasting away in the foreground.
