Food was ok, but the location is a little too expencive for what is getting offered. I do not think I will come again.

I’d give it a rating between 3 and 4 stars if I could. It’s the kind of place you can come to comfortably unwind after a long day’s of meetings, as much as it is a spot for locals to enjoy a good meal with family or friends. Fish and chips is a solid choice, I was only surprised by its size… i.e. BIG. My friend liked the duck dish too that was one of the daily specials. Friendly and happy service. It did get a little slow and sloppy when the place became packed but that’s to be expected.

Went to Brentwood for a business meeting and ventured into the Nags Head. I’ve been here before and tbh the pub is pretty easy on the eye. After a long journey I fancied a spot of basic pub grub and basic is what I got. The prices were high and I don’t mind high if the value is there, but £10 for oven chips and dried — sorry fried — egg is not value for money. The food was at the level that I would expect at Whetherspoons — leave well alone and stick to liquids only.

The food is quite good but some dishes perhaps a bit pricey as mentioned before. The staff is really friendly. Not too sure why the Category is Chinese though, unless it used to be one in the past.

Having recently moved to the area I was keen to find a nice restaurant that would suit nicely for a peaceful and good birthday dinner! This was great! fitted the bill perfectly. Food fab, décor very pleasant at a reasonable price. Have returned time and time again. You can feel equally as comfortable as a local in your casuals having a pint in the bar, or dressed up a bit more to celebrate a date in the restaruant.

I am a bit biased towards this pub as it is just across the road from the Holiday Inn. However, I have to say it is a real treat. The staff are excellent and the food is really nice. I have had fish on the couple of occasions I have ate in the restaurant and its been lovely. The bar also serves some real ale. Prices are reasonable(not cheap) but good value for money. I do recommend the place, just make sure you have a pint of Landlord Bitter!
