Sugar Hut Village

I have been twice a and both times i wasn’t impressed. The place was riddled With stuck up TOWIE wannabes and an absolutely overcrowded bar and dance floor. The place had no air-​conditioning on it was actually disgusting to the point my friends and i gave up on the dance floor and just went to the courtyard. The court yard is nice and they put evening loungers out there so on a nice evening it would be good to sit there and have a drink.
Don’t get me wrong I love to dress up do my hair and put the high heels on but that place was a totally different kettle of fish! I think since the show has become more popular it has unfortunately gone this way as the first time i went it wasn’t as bad! Wouldn’t really give it another chance.
Tip get there early other wise you will be queuing for ages

Great night! I did not have to queue but I saw that the queue was very long and others had to wait a long time to get in. We were lucky enough to bypass this. I enjoyed the time and people. I will be going again but this time will ensure I get a spray tan before I go!

Went to Sugar Hut on Saturday night for a friends birthday, and have to say that I LOVED it! Ok, so bad thing first. We arrived at 9pm, and were queuing to get in until 10.50pm. This is honestly the longest I have ever queued for a club (i’d usually give up after about 20 mins!). However, for me, once I got in there, it was soooooo worth it! I’m not usually one for ‘swanky’ clubs (I live in London and have been to a couple and i’ve not really been that impressed) but the vibe in this place was really good. Everyone had made a massive effort (when in Rome) and whilst the girls were a bit WAG-​esque, all the guys were really lovely. There’s a few different rooms, with the main one playing chart and R&B. The other rooms were house music and old school (and by this I mean anything from Stevie Wonder to Run DMC) and the whole crowd were just having a good time.
Entry was a tenner which I don’t think is unreasonable and all drinks seemed to be £5.50, so again, I think quite reasonable.
My advice would be that it’s definitely worth a visit every now and again, but make sure you get there early to avoid disappointment (as there’s not really anything else on Brentwood high street!). And fake tan and heels are a definite!

Definately a much better club since it was burnt down and refurbished as it has classy décor and good DJ helps along with the odd appearance from the only way is Essex crew but all in all a good night out.

I’ve eaten here and also been to the club! It has a classy feeling to the place! The food was okay not the best but the club/​bar made up for it! The type of people you get going there are very friendly and approachable

Expect to have to take out a second mortgage if you want a vodka, oh and also expect to be stabbed.

Unlike the other reviews, I have eaten here twice but not been to the club. The food was good, but expensive and the service left a bit to be desired. Apparently the chef has changed, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not ! I had no real complaints about the food, but I thought in general that the whole place was trying to hard.

This is a popular bar and club located in the middle of the high street in Brentwood, Essex. It has a bit of a up market feeling about it mostly because of the people that like to go there all fancy themselves a bit but not too much that it would annoy you. The clubs rooms can get quite cramped though and the drinks take a while to get and can be quite expensive when compared to other bars and clubs in the area. There is never much trouble there which is quite nice when considering the surrounding areas that are known to have some trouble, (i.e. Basildon).

This is relatively new and was much needed in Brentwood as the nightlife was quite poor. It doubles as a bar/​club and restaurant. I have never eaten in the restaurant but the bar and club are very different. It is quite pricey for entry (£10) as it is quite a small venue that they often have packed out. The bar downstairs has a courtyard which is nice in the summer as it provides a welcome break from the heat inside. Beware drinks are pricey here. In general the clientele are stunning and the atmosphere is that everyone is out to impress. Definitely get your gladrags on for this place

I have never been here for a meal. But have been a few times at the weekend. Fridays and Saturdays are over 21 and obviously the crowd is older. On a sunday it is over 18s buti wouldnt’ say that they are that hot on ID as their are a lot of unders in their. The drinks are over price but you pay for the decoration and the atomosphere. The music is good and if you have a look at their website it will let you know what event they have going on on what particular day.

I wasn’t hugely keen on Sugar Hut. I’m not sure what it is like in the daytime, but at night it becomes a club venue. Unfortunately it is one of the only clubs in Brentwood so I have been more often than I would have liked. Music leans heavily towards R n B and I find that people take it a little too seriously, whereas I prefer to be a little more relaxed and have a little more fun on a night out. The prices are very over-​inflated, and for the cost it is much more worthwhile going out in London itself. The dress code is very strict, so make sure you are dressed up if you don’t want to be turned away. There is a nice seating area/​courtyard for smokers.

Great for a girls/​boys night out but would not bother to eat there. Quite a trendy bar with good music

Ambience is great, and so I think as a place to drink, this is as good as it gets in Brentwood, however the food is nothing to write home about. Rather visit one of the better restaurants on the High Street and go to Sugar Hut for a drink and a dance.

A cool place to hang out if your planning a night out with your girls or on a boy hunt! Drinks are little expensive but a very funky/​trendy club/​bar to dance the night away, have various rooms to lounge about or to dance on the dancefloor! good up to beat music with live bands on various nights
