From the outside the Aroma café looks fairly small and plain, but the inside it is a bit of a tardis, with lovely decoration, although the tables are a bit too close together in some places. The café backs on to the river, and has a small garden. When the new Bridgend river walkway opens Aroma may be able to expand and develop this area, and help to create a bit of a ‘café culture’ on that side of the river. Unfortunately the food in Aroma really does disapoint. The coffee is decent, but on the only occassion I have ordered food it was undercooked, a small portion, and low quality. Due to this very unpleasant experience I haven’t ordered food more than once — therefore I’m giving two stars to give them a bit of the benefit of the doubt. It looks like a fair bit of time, money and effort has been invested here — so hopefully the quality of the product might improve soon.
