Duerden’s Confectionery is literally amazing! They are probably the best sweets I have ever tasted. Establised in 1922 by the grandparents of the present owner, they make amzing fudges and toffees, as well as other delightful sweets using original family recipes, some of which apparently date back to the middle 1800’s! The fudge is soft and gorgeous, and my mouth is watering even reviewing the place. Unfortunately, the address above is just where they make the stuff. Its actually sold at farmers markets around Manchester so you’ll have to call the number and find out where they’re going to be. This week they’re in Manchester Piccadilly Gardens though so get on it! Alternatively, you can buy a lot of their produce at ASDA, but probably not all the ASDAs in the world, so again you’re better off calling them. Might seem like a hassle, but if you’ve got a sweet tooth, then I guarantee its worth it.
