This Llloyds TSB cash machine is situated in a very handy spot — right next to all the central campus eateries and stores. It’s often busy, but works quickly enough when you use it. I agree with Jack M., the shelter round it does seem a bit pointless. And I think Ross M. provides some helpful advice about the lack of £5 notes sometimes. Um… (I once did a job doing telephone market research and we actually did a survey for Lloyds asking their customers how they rated their last experience of a Lloyd’s cash machine. Firstly from excellent to poor overall. Secondly rating various other elements such as cleanliness, speed and convenience. I was just reminded of the tedium of this whilst trying to write this review — if the people on the phone weren’t impatient to get rid of me, they certainly were by those questions!)

I fine specimen of a cash machine. The flow of the notes through the rollers is second to none and the button sensitivity has me simply salivating. Probably the most used ATM on campus as on the main little route through campus, and it’s quick and easy. I also think the glass house thing it’s housed in is fantastically pointless really.

This ‘branch’ serves merely as a 24-hour cash point. Conveniently located just outside the Bramber House building, along the pathway connecting many of the University of Sussex campuses with lecture and seminar room facilities, this ATM is often busy, sometimes with a five person queue or more. In terms of use, the machine functions well and efficiently, not suffering from any of the problems, such as excessive slowness, which can blight some ATMs. One note though: due to the excessive use this particular cash point receives, it is sometimes impossible to pick up five pound notes here. Thus, if you do need a £5 note, it is advisable to head to the HSBC or Barclays machines.
