Jimmy’s Restaurants

Decent food for a decent price! There is a large selection of food which is great but the quality is very average. Nothing will blow you away but if you’re really hungry it’s a great place to go.

We went here for my niece’s 22^nd birthday meal. It’s very noisy but the food is really good its self service which I liked. They have Indian Italian Chinese and English food. The Indian food is cooked by Indians the Italian food is cooked Italians the Chinese food is cooked by Chinese people. Me and my girlfriend had the curry it was nice because you could have a bit of everything on your plate. The toilets were nice and clean too. I would definitely go back again. If you don’t mind the noise level it’s definitely worth a visit ¹⁰⁄₁₀

We went here for my husband’s birthday dinner and was our first time. The place is massive. The food is not bad, if you haven’t eaten in a week. Their Indian section is definitely their forte. That was the only one that stood out. It gives an impression of a bigger Day’s Restaurant. The loos were clean and modern.
I can imagine this to be a good place for a group of people. And it can get busy on the weekends with the Marina passing trade. It may take me some time to go back as it really didn’t give me that wow factor I was looking for. Soz.

I went to Jimmy’s last night, after planning to go to Nando’s at Brighton Marina.
Annoyingly there was a 40 minute wait at Nando’s and time was getting on, so we opted to try out Jimmy’s, perhaps against my better judgement, as I have seen other reviews that weren’t exactly brilliant!
I went inside with an open mind, I know full well that at an all you can eat restaurant the food isn’t going to be of the highest quality, and compared to other all you can eat places in Brighton (I.e Days), the food wasn’t THAT bad. In fact, the massaman curry and the Thai style rice was quite nice!
However, the place was incredibly noisy and full of not very well behaved children. I witnessed people poking and picking at food with their bare hands (yuck), and some of the food I felt was inedible! (Tacos were yuck!)
At one point I asked a member of staff where I could find a bowl, to which I go an «I dunno» — hmm.
I doubt very much that I would go here again, I hated the noisy atmosphere, and I’d rather pay for a decent meal than go there.

So very disappointed! It looked good in pictures and as a concept, but was mediocre if I’m being very generous. We unfortunately picked it for a family bday dinner and even the kids didn’t like it and they aren’t fussy eaters. Specific problem areas included drinks — my margarita was only ²⁄₃ full in the glass, which I complained about and they topped up. When I finally tasted it, it was so bitter and foul I returned it and swapped for a white wine, which tasted like cheap plonk. The drink prices are high for low quality.
And the food… the sushi wasn’t really sushi and there wasn’t much selection of it but it tasted ok. We were really looking forward to the dim sum, which all looked great but were extremely bland in terms of their fillings. The chicken wings were the only outstanding item for us all. The Chinese prawns looked nice but tasted of absolutely nothing, and given you have to peel them, it was quickly obvious it wasn’t worth the effort. The noodles were both greasy and mixed with undercooked ones. The pizza wasn’t too bad. On the whole everything we tried looked better than it tasted. I am really sorry to have spent my money here. I won’t be returning.
