Ok, so the Kemptown Trading Post is not in the centre of town and what some consider(rather wrongly) to be on the edge of Kemptown). Yes it is in a quieter spot in Kemptown, it is not however, in the back of beyond! So this what I have to say about this lovely place,… I love the fact that you can get a delicious coffee(or tea, ok, or hot chocolate, Mocha, fruit tea,) delicious sandwiches and then there are Andrea’s homemade cakes, it is a wonder I am still fitting into a rather svelte size 30 jeans(but I do!). On the shopping side of things there is quite an array of Vintage and Antique goods and art on offer. There are many units selling a wide variety of vintage and antique objects, lights and furniture. At the back of the shop there are three area where one can peruse through some wonderful vintage clothes and throughout the store you will find glass cabinets filled with little trinkets and fabulous finds and some very beautiful jewellery. OOPS…I have so far failed to mention the window unit in front of the café area which is where Paul sells furniture and lighting from the 1950−1970s. Paul often finds iconic chairs desperately in need of some tlc, this he does giving them a more modern twist by having them recovered in a more up to date fabric.
