Brighton seems to be a favoured traditional location for events. Whether it’s the bike ride, the Prince Regent or a lot of old cars, you will find Brighton as the last stop. This event is best viewed in two stages in my opinion. As long as the weather is holding up(50⁄50 seeing as this takes place in November), I would recommend setting yourself up on the Old Steine. This way you get to see a lot of the great vintage motors in action as they trundle to the finish at Maderia Drive. It can also be amusing to see the local taxi drivers getting annoyed by getting stuck behind a convey of vintage motors, haha! Once your humour has been satisfied, take a walk down Maderia drive and you will get the opportunity to see some of these beautiful old cars up close, as well as their sometimes eccentric owners. A lot are happy to have a chat and tell you about their pride and joy. Sometimes they even outshine the automobiles. A perfect event for kids, but certainly one that is dependent on the weather.

Like every other bloomin event/festival/parade/carnival/race/rally/celebration-of-some-sort/whatever that occurs in the compact city of Brighton, you can’t fail to notice the annual veteran car rally — whether you head down to Madeira Drive where all the cars conglomerate, or you watch them drive down into Brighton. The event usually occurs each first Sunday of November, and any car built before 1905 is welcome to enter. Although I’m not an old car fan, the event is quite spectacular, with hundreds of old cars of all kinds flooding the city.
