This shop has been around for decades but I am almost certain it has come under new ownership as the shop has lost it’s va va voom. The new layout makes it feel a bit cluttered in places and if they are stacking the shelves no effort is made to get out of the way of the shopper!
It does have a lot of your basic food and drink needs with options for pets food. It is a large convenient shop so can fit a lot in which will mean you will probably find what you need, therefore being convenient.
However, I think that this shop abuses the fact that it is the only large shop in the whole village and has therefore set prices a bit higher than the norm which I think does put some people off certain products.
