My Nando’s virginity was lost here. I have never looked back eversince. So you know the rules, once seated, browse the menu then order at the till with your table number. Even my Mum got it wrong before. She thought it was table service. So it’s actually nice to take your time with your meal and leave when you’re all done. No waiting for the bill. I’m always nice to the tip jar. Seating is plentiful indoors and downstairs.

I’m quite sad to confess this place was a bit of a disappointment for me. It’s not that the food or anything in particular was bad or went wrong, it simply wasn’t what I expected. The size of this place is good and it also has some tables outside for you to enjoy a nice day if the weather is good enough. Nando’s is all about chicken, so what you can find on the menu is somehow related to it. First thing I didn’t like is that I found the menu too short and a bit expensive. I ended up ordering a chicken sandwich, the least spicy I could ask for, with some fries as a sider. It was fine… But that’s it, just fine. I also found the selfservice thing a bit uncomfortable, specially when it took them a bit to realise it was our first time in Nando’s so we didn’t know what to do… We also had to pick our own sauces and other dressings ourselves. Again, it was ok to do so, just not what I expected. I had heard lots and lots of people rambling about how amazing it is to have a «cheeky Nando’s» but for me it wasn’t that good. Maybe our choices were not the best ones and our hopes were too high… but overall, and sadly, I don’t think I’ll try it again.

‘Over priced but nice’ should be the new strap line. I had a take out burger and corn on the cob, very nice but not to the value of £11.15. Probably better to eat in than take out. An addendum to this story. If the chicken was proper free range then perhaps the price would be justified. Just a thought.

I can’t think of a scenario where chicken is not the answer. I love Nando’s. When it’s busy, I’ve found that it takes a while to get served in the Brighton restaurant. Had to send back food a couple of times because it’s been cold. Nobody likes the squeal of shivering Halloumi. Most of the time though, it’s great. It’s the Wagamma’s of chicken. Reliable and well priced. I double-carb with rice and fried as sides. No apologies.

I love me some chicken! Normally I really rate this Nando’s, but on this occasion they managed to dry out the chicken thighs… the most moist part of the bird! Everything else about the meal was good, chips were crispy and hot, corn peas and coleslaw tasty as always. It’s just those damn thighs. I dunno how they did it but they were dry as hell. Service was delightful and staff were apologetic about the thighs, we were told to mention it earlier so they could have swapped them for us, so that’s always good to know.

I went to Nando’s today, as my boyfriend received a gift voucher to use there. Free meal? — why not! Nando’s is one of those places where the food and standard is pretty consistent whichever branch you go to. It always seems to be heaving at any time of day. We got there just in time today, because after we got seated, around 20 people walked in and had to wait for quite some time! I don’t eat at Nando’s very often, but I always go for the Butterfly Chicken with Coleslaw and Chips(I’m sure I could have a healthier option but what the hey). Seeing as our meal was free, we also ordered some chicken wings to start. Disappointingly, they arrived stone cold. Of course I informed a member of staff, and they happily changed them for fresh ones straight away. The meal was fine, nothing amazing. nothing for me to rave about and say ‘YOUMUSTGOTHERE!’ If you’re a chicken fan, then give it a try. I think I might be over Nando’s now.

I got Nando’s to go and the service was pretty fast and the food was still hot when I arrived home(20 minutes later). I know Nando’s is famous for its chicken but sorry I didn’t like it much, too dry and it didn’t have any mango taste :/ For £7.20, I got ¼ mango & lime chicken, one macho peas side and one creamy mash potatoes. The macho peas were ok, but a bit spicy for me but the mash potatoes was absolutely amazing! The best I’ve ever had. It really tastes like a homemade one with small pieces and very creamy. 4 stars, mainly for the mash potatoes !

With so many good reviews, I had to check this place out. I couldn’t decide between having a burger or a chicken but heck, I was at «Chickenland», I might as well go for the chicken meat! I had the ½ chicken meal with fries and coleslaw for £9.85. A nice waitress recommended that meal over the burger and butterfly chicken meals because it had more meat at a better price. Some parts of my chicken were dry and overcooked but overall, it was a nice and tender dinner. I love how this self-serve place offers free refills on drinks(a rarity in Europe) and a buffet-line of sauces. My favorite sauce was the Lemon+Herb and the Hot Peri-Peri. Those two together made the perfect combo on top of my chicken and fries. Mmh mmh! The creamy coleslaw definitely lived up to its name; had it been cold rather than lukewarm, I wouldn’t have mind the creaminess but I felt the coleslaw was total mayonnaise-OD(overdose). It gets pretty busy around late dinner time but you’ll be seated within 15 minutes. Attentive and quick service, hip ambience, hearty food. If you’re not afraid to work for your chicken, I recommend the ¼ or ½ chicken meals. If you’re a knife-and-fork kind of guy or gal, the butterfly chicken meal has no bones, but less meat. Wraps and burgers looked yummy too. Overall, it was a messy but fun experience. I enjoyed my meal so if this place wasn’t so expensive, I’d definitely come back more often.

Good food, good value for money. Cheaper than a posh restaurant, better food than Mc D’s, Burger King and KFC. Very friendly staff, they made us feel welcome. It can get rather busy in this stretched out narrow restaurant, and noisy too, that’s why I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Food gets to your table quickly, soft drinks can be refilled endlessly, so that’s good. We’ll go there again when we’re in Brighton.

Hmmmm. people raved about this place, but i beg to differ. I order ¼ of chicken with corn on the cob and rice. Chicken was great, corn was great, the rice was ehhh. The sauce is good, but it tasted a little too thick for me. Like calorie packed thick. Nonetheless, you have to try here at least once and form your own opinion!

While studying abroad @ Sussex, my friend recommended this place. Love the many types of of sauces you can use with your food. Chicken was delicious and had great flavor. Can’t resist the Sangria to wash everything down with. Love this place. Can’t wait to go back to the UK to eat here.

Am I missing something? I ate at Nandos for the first time recently, and I just don’t get what all the fuss is about! The food was ok, but certainly nothing to write home about, and the different spices tasted pretty similar to me. I don’t get why they have so many waiting staff — they only show you to the table, and you pretty much do the rest yourself! It’s ok for a bite of you’ve been to the flicks, for example, but the loyalty card is totally wasted on me — one stamp going, free to any takers!

I’ve never had a bad meal in this place. I know its not a high-end trendy place that your going to find Prince Harry in but it does cook a really good bit of chicken. The chicken burgers are out of this world and are full of flavour. They have some great sauces on the table to add a bit of extra oomph if you fancy. The service is always really friendly in here and there’s plenty of space for large groups. You won’t be disappointed after a meal in this place!

Thats my place to bring my friends when they meet brighton for the first time. I think Nandos is very special but its very tasty and I love the HOT chicken stuff. The restaurant itself is a little bit small, what makes«sit and eat» not as compfortable as it could be. because of that, only 4 stars here.

I missed out on many years of Nando’s because I only found out about its goodness last year. If you are into very hot and very spicy chicken most of your needs will be fulfilled here. The sides of sweetcorn and rice are really good and the chips are nice and crispy. I always like the layout in Nandos and this one is pretty nice, good lighting and not overly fussy. Everything revolves around the Peri Peri sauce and in it’s simplicity it works a treat.

If I’m after quick service, great value for money and dependable food, then I head to Nando’s. You know it ain’t gonna be gourmet, but it’s going to be good. Although I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to mega-spicy stuff, I find the medium peri-peri completely palatable(with mayonnaise anyway). Although the chicken isn’t amazing quality and you get more leg and thigh meat than breast, I always find eating here very enjoyable. Their spicy rice is really tasty, their coleslaw is creamy and their corn-on-the-cobs are well cooked and fabulously messy to eat. But the pièce de résistance? Their ENORMOUS spicy olives with roasted red peppers, mushroom and garlic. Very generous portions and absolutely lovely with a large glass of their house Portuguese white. At around £6/£7 for a rather generous main course, I don’t think you can fault Nando’s value for money. And their bottomless soft drinks are also fabulous value seeing as the food is so spicy you have to down an average of three glasses during your meal. I’ve always found the staff to be friendly and happy to accommodate large groups. The only trouble is that you can’t book a table, so it’s worth being prepared to pop across the road for a pint in The Victory while you wait 15 – 20 minutes during busier times.

Ok it seems as though people must have been eating at a different place to me. The Nando’s I visited was very average. The prices were reasonable but it felt a little too much like a fast food joint trying to be a sit down restaurant. Ultimately it isn’t bad food but it’s nowhere near deserving of five stars. Bill’s maybe, The Forager perhaps but Nando’s?

I absolutely LOVE this place. I would go back to England just for this place. The wings are amazing and there are 4 different kinds of spices to choose from. Another quality that nando’s has is that there are free refills, which are difficult to find in England, let alone Europe. This place gives a good amount of food for your money and you will definitely not regret it!

Great cheep cheep chickens. No eggs layed by lots of yummy dishes to try out. The venue is long and thin with interesting graffiti style painting on the far wall. The toilets are down stairs which is a bit annoying if you are stuffed and can’t be bothered to trot to the loo. The bottomless drinks are always a good option. They have some new choices on the menu such as macho peas. I was curious to try this but they had sold out. The mushroom burger has some chilli jam which is really yum

The food here is standard. I think it has gone downhill as it has now established itself. I recall the first time I went to Nandos i thought it was fantastic but each time I go back, I am disappointed. The meal itself came promptly but the chicken was quite dry. I do like the idea though, where you order at the counter and you get your own cutlery, condiments etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. It has a children’s menu which is good and its a place you can go for families too. Its reasonably priced and the restaurant is well located.
