Absolutely appalling. Paid £2.75 for an egg sandwich on bread that would have been mouldy the next day, and £1.50 for an instant coffee that was also terrible. When i approached the owner about the quality of his cuisine he said the bread isnt mouldy. No surprises that the place is always empty, and the owner cant afford to buy a fresh loaf of bread. OVERPRICEDANDTHEFOODISDIRE(FOR A SECONDTIME, AVOID) P.s the bread that i was served was returned and bounced off the pavement.

To those in the know, the Dip is a pleasant parade of shops up in Brighton’s northern suburb of Hollingbury. It’s a useful amenity for local residents and the Dip Café is a great place to drop in for a fry up or a snack. They make some good sandwiches and have a nice selection of pastries. Good, proper, family run café and I love it.

This place isn’t the best but by no means the worst café I have been to. The food is done quickly but could but is a bit inconsistent so I only go here for convenience. The ‘healthy option’ breakfast is a good choice because they cook all your favourite items the healthy way such as grilled bacon and sausage, scrambled egg and toasted brown bread. This is my normal choice as it is not often you can get a good brekkie and still feel reasonably alert for the hour afterwards.
