It’s not at all fancy chocolate, but they sell a couple things that I love. One, their«Luxury Dinner Mints» they are way better then peppermint patties, and I like those, and two, the chocolate covered fudge… completely addictive.

Thortons offers nice, tasty chocolate, at a reasonable price, making it a perfect place to buy gifts for friends, family members, or loved ones. This particular branch sells ice cream as well as Thornton’s famous chocolate, and currently has on offer on allowing you to get 2 advent calendars for £5.

I am not going to rave on and on about the delicious chocolates at Thornton’s, because I don’t even know if their chocolates are indeed delicious. What I am going to do however, is rave on and on about how great their fudge is. When I was a little boy, my father would kindly make fudge for us. It was delicious and that sugary rush just made time going into freefall — it was divine. Thornton’s offers the next best thing. I have tasted a lot of fudge in my time, but never have I kept coming back for more like I do for Thornton’s good stuff. The store is nice enough, the staff are fine — this is your typical shopping mall staple. But that fudge! Mon dieu! Fudge, fudge, fudge! Yum, yum, yum!

Thorntons is not particularly exceptional– the shop is well organised and nicely decorated in a commercial way. The staff are friendly, the prices a bit above supermarket and a bit below fancier chocolatiers. I don’t personally think their chocolate is very nice– it’s overly sweet and waxy. Their toffee though is very good. It’s about the most evil thing invented for your teeth but theirs is nutty, crunchy but not too hard and creamy. My dad likes it too-bonus.
