Breakfast is amazing, and staff are really friendly. Dinner was good, and there was some variety of meals, the portions are a bit small for what you pay. Dessert looked good on paper, but the brownies were nothing to write home about.

Thought I’d give this a try when staying at the bottom of park road a few weeks ago. The menu had a few suitable looking fish/​veg options so was worth a go. The service from start to finish was pretty impressive, down to earth and very unfussy. Not sure what type of restaurant to class this as other than ‘Contemporary ’ as my main course was essentially a twist on the classic Mac n Cheese. It was a reasonable dish and not too oily or heavy as is often the case with Mac n cheese, however the side tomato and onion salad had a super zing to it and went down well. The watermelon cocktail (mocktail?) Was pretty cool too and helped refresh me after a brisk walk up the hill! Some good looking desserts on the menu too which will need a try sometime.

I really think Bill’s is an American restaurant instead of British. I mean, they use ‘french fries’ instead of chips on the menu! They offer a little bit of everything, burgers, steak, fish, mac n cheese, skewers, curry… not really sure what exactly they specialize in. Despite that, me and my friends were all satisfied with our starters and mains. The kale chips & sea bass I had were particularly delicious, though a lil on the salty side. The service is very friendly and they sell chocolate bars, milkshakes, jams, pink lemonades, etc as well.

Première soirée à Bristol, nous avons opté pour ce restaurant car il était vraiment superbe. Les tables sont éclairées aux chandelles, la décoration intérieure est vraiment chouette. Les serveurs sont très sympa. Nous avons pris un plat de poulet avec du butternut, mais nous nous sommes retrouvées avec un gratin de pâtes (on né s’attendait pas à ça, ce n’était pas précisé qu’il y avait des pâtes)
Les prix sont assez élevés par contre 10£ pour un gratin de pâtes. En dessert nous avons pris un gâteau au chocolat et marmelade, c’était délicieux.

I love Bills, a casual setting in a great location with food that never disappoints. It has a kind of American feel but not tacky, tasteless fatty american meals. My fave dish is the Mac & Cheese with a lush twist — butternut sqaush, a contrasting bread crumb topping and topped with fresh rocket.
It’s a great place to go with friends, as a couple or even a party. Prices are ok — Spent £30 on 2 meals and alcoholic drinks last night so that’s all good with me!
The reason why I’ve given it 4 stars and not 5 is only due to the fact that they haven’t updated their menu for a while and I’d like to try a few new things there. But definitely worth a go if you’re looking for somewhere new in town!
Friendly staff, good food, good wine.

There was about 15 of us went for a meal as a celebration with two young children. The children had the macaroni cheese which seemed quite peppery for a child’s meal that was only only issue with food.
I ordered a burger with chorizo in and it was delicious and I especially liked the fries as they were perfect home cooked ones!
I would say the service was slow, I know there was a lot of us but most people were half way through their meal before people had got theirs. But everyone was happy with the dishes they had.
I had a chocolate milkshake for afters and it had bits in of chocolate which I personally did not like I prefer it to be smooth.
It’s a great place to eat though, maybe not take a big group next time though but I would go there again.

I have been to Bills twice. The first for a light salad and beer pre-​theatre show so about 5pm and it was really tasty. The second visit not so much…
The good things are the décor and great seating booths with a relaxing atmosphere.
But then I went back on a Friday night. Although the staff on the front desk were really friendly our waiter was very inattentive and didn’t check in on us or really acknowledge us much.
My food was mediocre and quite pricey for what it was. We shared calamari which was thick and chewy. My macaroni cheese for main was very basic although my boyfriends burgers was really good. The food felt like I could cook it pretty easily at home.
I asked our waiter for a second glass of wine when he took our starters which never arrived and when we went to the bar, they said to order from the waiter (I don’t know why they have a bar then, the two staff members seemed rather bored).
Didn’t stay for dessert so disappointing.
I hear they do a good breakfast but I won’t be going back for a while.

We stopped off in bills on our way to the zoo on a Monday morning, we only wanted a snack as we were planning on a big lunch.
It was quiet when we visited so there were plenty if tables and lots of staff working, we ordered a pot of tea, a peach iced tea, a toasted tea cake and a bread basket, the bread basket consisted of 2 slices of sour dough, 2 mini croissants and 2 mini pain au Chocolate, we were given nice big jars of jam and marmalade to go with it and both were delicious.
It was only a quick visit but everything we had was lovely, my only complaint was that the service was very slow and considering they were quiet the staff were not particularly attentive, we will definitely go back though.

Went to bills for lunch this afternoon and loved it. Staff were really accommodating & made sure we had a big enough table with a high chair for our 18 month old son.
Our food was delicious and came out quickly.
The menu is reasonably priced and pretty much what you would expect for good food. I would highly recommend.
We’re looking forward to trying out the breakfast menu next weekend!
