This is the most authentic upholstery shop I’ve ever frequented. My sister and I dropped in here a couple of years ago to ask for directions to a nearby pub, and felt as though we’d stepped back in time. The place was filled with antique furniture and the ceilings had genuine cobwebs to boot! The old woman working here was very obliging, and after giving us thorough directions, told us a bit about Bobbie Burns(only to be spoken in the purest of Bristolian accents), a family-run business that has been repairing and transforming furniture since 1929. They use a range of different materials, horse hair included, and are happy to work with material provided by customers with more specific upholstery requirements. So there you go…
