This whitewashed pub stands tall on the hills just south of Bristol, on a fairly main road up from Withywood in Dundry direction, on the corner with the tiny Upton Lane. It’s a friendly pub with a large restaurant, serving good value food including Sunday lunches and carvery. As you go in, there’s a front bar area, a quieter room to the left, and an informal bar to the right. There’s also a beer garden with seating outside for warmer summer months, and with all the countryside around you can easily pretend you’re a good way outside of the city.
