Co-op

The term «convenience store» I guess has made it’s way over here from America and I’m not sure how convenient they are over there, but over here, and in this shop in particular, the prices are very much inconvenient.
Despite the fact that this Co Op is a 5 minute walk from my house, I’d much rather walk the extra 15 minutes to the Sainsbury’s on Winterstoke Road than pay the scandalous prices in this shop. A loaf of bread that will cost you 90p in a Sainsbury’s, will set you back £1.60 in this shop. That’s almost double!
Having said that, the shop itself has undergone a refurb in the past 18 months and it certainly looks and feels a lot nicer to walk in to now. I also feel slightly guilty in bad mouthing it so much as the staff at this shop are very, very pleasant, but by no means do they make up for the hit on my wallet.
