Pretty standard corporate-chain hotel situated a little way from the centre of Bristol — clean and comfortable but probably a bit over-priced. Watch out on check-in when they give you the option to pay in full or have your card swiped so you can charge drinks and food to your room. We elected to have my debit card swiped — and they took out £350 for a £258 stay!!! Nearly £100 extra! When I complained the guy behind the desk said they hadn’t taken the money, they had just reserved the £350 amount from our bank. Nevertheless my bank had effectively taken it because that £100 was no longer available to me! Watch out!!!

A nice enough hotel in a fairly central area — near the train station, and a 2 minute walk across the bridge to some nice coffee shops(Spicer + Cole). The outside of the building isn’t to attractive, and it’s actually tricky to find the front door as it’s up the driving ramp, and hidden behind a pillar. I stayed here for one night. The bed was comfy, the place very clean. The walls are thin — I could hear my neighbours tv, and their alarm in the morning. And, there was no cold water in the morning. At all. When I checked out, I began making mention of this and rather than apologise in an open way, the desk manager just nodded and said«ah yes this is a problem we have at the moment», as if I should be ok with that then? I’m not one to kick up a fuss, what’s done is done. But I don’t see myself staying in the DoubleTree a second time when I next visit Bristol.

I stayed overnight at this Doubletree with a friend. We took the train in from London, and the website said it was a 10 minute walk. It was a 10-minute walk, but the directions on the website were a tad off. The façade of the hotel is ugly. There is nothing else to say. Rooms are the standard of a Doubletree. Cookies were a bit lacking. Room service was very prompt. Reception was super helpful in providing discount information and maps to the city centre/must-sees. It was about a 10 minute walk to a portion of the city-centre. Next door is the cathedral where William Penn is buried.

A well located hotel, very close(walking distance) from the main railway station at Temple Meads. Also a 5⁄10 min walk into the main city centre. The hotel has parking, which was at a reasonable charge, the car park is fairly small so perhaps don’t bet your life that you will get a space. The hotel is clean and tidy, the rooms are in very good order, again clean and comfortable. A decent hotel if you can get it at a good rate.

Stayed at the Ramada on business, along with a colleague who was joining me later. Room was fine, and the room service was acceptable. However, my colleague arrived at 10pm only to be told that her room had been given away and they had no more left. As the hotel operates a cancellation policy and so would have charged if she hadn’t showed, giving the room away wasn’t acceptable
