Different from a council run operation — this is a patch of earth in the middle of Easton — from which great fruit and vegetables grow! They up the community feel(and make people feel involved) by having a ‘workday’ every Thursday — where community members are given helpful tips on growing. The level of your skill doesn’t matter(I barely know which end of a spade to hold!) and beginners garden alongside experienced green-fingered folk. Alongside annual crops and raised beds, the allotment grows edible plants and herbs, perfect if you like your food as local as it can possibly be. The group sells plants on site and at local events. A lovely little site of you want to flex your horticultural skills, meet new people and make use of the earth.
