Good food(especially for an all you can eat buffet place) with freshly prepared Indian cuisines, Italian, Mexican, English, American, European food also on offer. The value is pretty good, especially the lunch time prices. However, the atmosphere is a little stale and lacking during lunchtimes but usually much better in the evenings. The staff are all very friendly and provide prompt service, going the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy. If you’re in a group of people who don’t know what they want(or all fancy something different) to eat and happen to be in the center of town give FlavourZ a try.

This is one of those all you can eat buffets, and unlike others which like to specialize in a particular style of food Flavourz offers you loads of different types — from Chinese to Indian to Italian. Being a big fan of all you can eat buffets I have been to a fair few in Bristol, and in my opinion Flavourz comes at the bottom of the list… I wasn’t impressed with the quality of their food at all. I know you can’t expect great quality at these places with so much on offer, but in my experience quite a lot of the food was cold, and the pizzas were soggy — which doesn’t make me want to eat here much. There is genuinely a lot of options, but they don’t seem to take much care on the food itself. The venue is pretty cool and modern, and large in size — so you will probably be able to get seats pretty easily — its just a shame the food lets them down. In terms of pricing Flavourz is cheap at just £7 for as much as you can eat, so as long as you don’t expect amazing food then you might enjoy it here — and on the plus side desserts are included in this which makes it better value. I just personally wouldn’t return as I wasn’t impressed, but it could always be that I went on a bad day — maybe its better most of the time!

How could anyone resist a restaurant with a ‘z’ in place of an ‘s’ in the name; rumour has it they have committed this crime against English and taste so you have to pronounce the name of the restaurant in Bristol accent. It’s basically a very greasy, very cheap takeaway and probably great for large groups of students. The best feature is the Mongolian style BBQ; these are very rare in Bristol, You basically pick your own stir fry ingredients and sauces and they cook it up for you in front of you. I recommend you go early for a full selection of everything and lunchtime meals tend to be the best value; very cheap indeed. If you have a certain attraction to sparkly things and hope to marry a championship footballer one day you should hire the 80s Miami bling room upstairs. I don’t think 80s chic was an intentional theme but I wouldn’t want to be in there without a Fame costume.

My concerns about this ‘all you can eat’ restaurant proved to be unfounded. The food was tasty, seemed fresh and was excellent value. The ambiance was pleasant and the staff were helpful. All in all a good experience.

If you are thinking of opening an eatery but struggling with the choice of cuisine, take Flavourz as your example. This buffet restaurant offers a selection of dishes from Chinese, Indian, Italian, and Mexican cuisine. Yes, it is the place where you can eat pizza, paella, noodles and Rogan Josh all at once, maybe even with some salad. And if there is any place still left in your stomach, then delicious profitroles, ice cream, and jellies are there to please your palate. Relaxation area in on the top floor, although at the time of my visit it was empty. The restaurant is located in the city centre, next to bus stops and a taxi stand, which understandably makes it a hotspot for a Bristol night out.

I came here for one of my housemates birthday, lets call him A, on the recommendation of another one of my housemates, lets call him B. We were all up for it, got a taxi down and piled into the restaurant keen to stuff ourselves before going out. I was very hungry so piled my plate and got eating; everyone else was still wandering round trying to find something they wanted to eat. Slowly my hunger wore off and I realised that what I was eating was pretty rank. We made a joke about it and tried to carry on having a laugh for A’s birthday. Until B called the manager over and refused to pay, its fine mate, don’t worry about us you just look after yourself. Never go there.

This place is a godsend on a hangover! All-you-can-eat is an understatement. Most all-you-can-eat places I have been to stick to the same type of food, eg. Italian, Japanese, Chinese etc. But not with FlavourZ. It really should be renamed ‘everything your heart could desire’!! Having said this, the food isn’t Gordan Ramsey which is why it has dropped a couple of stars. Its also a little on the pricey side(especially because its not somewhere you would go for an expensive, sophisticated night out). Buffet dinner ranges from £12−14 depending on what night it is, and lunch is £7−8.

Flavourz is an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant located on Colston Avenue, offering a rather baffling array of dishes from all over the world. There’s everything from curry to stir-fry to pizza to chicken wings in the mix, and pretty much all of it seems to have been treated to a healthy helping of grease. There’s also a range of deserts on offer: jelly, ice cream and gateaux — that kind of thing. Fine dining it is not. However, if you’re looking for a cheap and filling meal, then it might just fit the bill. Just remember — it’s very much a case of quantity over quality.

Flavourz used to be a Weatherspoons a few years ago and when it was transformed I thought, great anything’s better than a Weatherspoons, I wonder what it’s going to be? Well I could tell from the moment they stuck the name of the place on the exterior wall it wasn’t going to be great. «Flavourz»! What a terrible name. Reminds me of a really bad pop group trying to make themselves sound cool by replacing an s with a z. My suspicions were brought into reality they day I actually went in for a meal. The food they offer is a varied mix of world cuisines, so you’ve got Chinese meals in trays next to Italian pasta trays. Not wanting to look like a heathen or a complete ignoramus I stuck to one world cuisine and plumped for Chinese. Well it was MSG central. Completely tasteless and very greasy. Not a great place.

I’ve always thought that this place doesn’t look too appealing from the outside. A meal here, though, won’t disapoint. Hearty is the word that sums up this place. A hearty menu, hearty portions, and hearty bar staff(doesn’t the word hearty sound a bit odd now?). In other words this place isn’t overly up market and they aren’t afraid to be friendly and offer decently sized portions. They don’t let themselves be constricted to one continent, let alone one country here, with Mexican, Inidan, and Chinese amongst the extensive range of cuisines available. This obviously means it isn’t quite as authentic as going somewhere spealist, but they’re never too wide of the mark. If you are looking for the real deal then perhaps head somewhere else. Flavourz(I think they let themselves down with the name a bit) offers a taste education in a friendly setting, and with big portions.

I’ve always been a bit put off by FlavourZ, primarily because of the very dodgy smells that come out of the kitchen if you walk round the back of the restaurant(near the bus stop opposite the Colston Hall) — if you’ve ever got a whiff you’ll know what I mean. Despite this, recently I was dragged along with a bunch of friends for a meal here, and clearing away my preformed judgements about the place, I was actually fairly pleasantly surprised. Their obvious selling feature is the quirkiness of having many different cuisines under one roof — and it’s kind of pleasant to not be confined to one style for once. However, being a jack of all trades also means they’re not amazing at any of them — but the cheap prices perhaps make up for that. Although I was entertained by the experience I wasn’t won over, and the poor service didn’t help.

If you’re looking for something that will fill you up for the rest of the week, come to FlavourZ. Situated right in the city centre, nearby the Colston Hall, Hippodrome and the O2 Academy, this world cuisine restaurant is ideal for a pre show blowout. This restaurant appeals to anyone wanting to try dishes from all over the world, not to say that they are particularly authentic. Ideal for fussy groups, this place ensures that there will be something to suit every taste, and as much as you can eat. Don’t come here if you want a classy, sit down meal; it’s more like a canteen than a restaurant. And if you’re watching your weight, forget it.

Indian tonight? Chinese? Mexican? English? Why choose? Have them all! This is a buffet serving chicken curry next to pasta salad and olives, side by side with chips, adjacent to sweet and sour chicken. You can even get the chefs to cook you something fresh whilst you wait. Don’t forget to check out the desert there’s an ice cream machine, a giant fruit bowl, cake(say aye!) and what looks like the sweet aisle from Woolies.

very well run. in order of my preferences of a buffet:(keep in mind im putting food quality & price first) 1) food is pretty good i admit(i.e. not the usual oily /low quality buffet food) 2) great price(i went on a saturday lunchtime and adults are 7.95 and students/snr citizens were 6.75) 3) quite alot of people yet generous seating space. 4) no queues when grabbing yr food. 5) very good service. kept having a new jug of cold water and our finished dishes taken away. this really puts the higher priced eaterys all around the city centre to shame. been to many which charge over 10 quid for a simple lunch, still leaving you hungry and the service isnt as good. PS: just make sure you dont go when the staff are having their break. else you wont get fresh top ups /refills of food. have fun.

FlavourZ offer a great eat-all-you-can lunch buffet for around £6, with a choice of Italian, Indian, Chinese and Mexican food. They’ll even cook stir-frys made with the raw ingredients you’ve chosen. To top it all off, soft drinks refills are free. You won’t find a better value lunch in Bristol!

Visited here in June 2008 for a friends birthday and wasn’t totally convinced it was a good place to have a meal. I mean, all you can eat buffet of Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Indian etc. It actually worked really well, queues around the food aren’t huge. It’s really well organised and the food is covered and lots of fresh stuff was always being put out. There was even the select your own stir fry area but didn’t try that. Lots of cold starter selections for dieters but don’t fill yourself up too much or you won’t be able to fit in a main or visit the ice cream bar. Great whippy machine, loads of jellies, gateaux, cheesecake or even fresh fruit. Only fault was the drinks service, could be a bit faster but we all had a good time. Expect to have loads of teenage groups if you visit on a weekend night, so it can be rowdy.

What a great little, unsual place. Its a buffet, all you can eat place BUT the twist is its chinese, indian, mexican and italian! Good food with chefs standing by to cook something particular you may like. The staff are friendly and helpful and it also has a nice bar upstairs
