LK Bennett

LK Bennett is a smart Park Street shop offering an equally smart range of ladieswear.
Many of the items are quite formal and aimed at a slightly older or professional market, but there are also some very flattering dresses that would suit a younger audience for some more formal occasions such as weddings, and I’ve seen some of their dresses and accessories featured in Grazia, InStyle and Elle magazines.
The high quality fabrics and cuts used are very classic and elegant, and the shop assistants in this branch are always very happy to advise — which is handy if, like me, you’re not a regular shopper for these types of clothes.
Their summer sales often take a massive chunk off the original price of remaining dresses, so they’re worth checking out if you’ve been invited to a summer wedding.

The search for the perfect red dress for my sisters wedding lured me in. Sadly the red dress there wasn’t flattering to my shape. However the Sales assistant was really helpful, came and asked me was I looking for anything for any particular event, went through her book to see if there was anything suitable and offered to put me on a waiting list for a dress that was coming in, in the colour and style I wanted.
LK Bennet has always struck me as a ‘grown up’ store, and they offer a grown up service to match. I was well dressed when I went in. I wonder if I would have received the same service had I been wearing my trainers and panda hoody instead! Tempted to go back and try!
They only have a few sizes on display rather than racks and racks of clothes but they do have the other sizes in stock in the store. If there is something in their collection that you like, you will be able to order a dress in.
Excellent service but for the price of the clothes it would have to be! Keep an eye out for sales though, dresses can be reduced by up to £100.

I was walking down Park Street a few weeks ago when I saw a sales assistant job advertised in this LK Bennett — I already have a job, two in fact, but I thought I job in LK Bennett might be quite well paid, taking into account the price of the dresses in there!
In fact, the pay was minimum wage, which really surprised me, the ladies in there always look so well dressed, I wouldn’t be surprised if their suits cost them a whole months wages, even with staff discount!
The shop itself is as you might imagine, minimalist, clean, shiny, perfectly mannered staff and more expensive clothes than you could throw a high heeled shoe at.
Good for the more mature lady who has spare cash!
