Went recently for the Monday night £10 starter and main deal(which you have to buy a drink with too). Have heard from friends how good this place is but was really pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere was relaxed, with a small bar overlooking a tastefully decorated, spacious dining area. Ideal for a romantic date night. Started with nibbles — Harissa nuts and bread with oil/vinegar, and got a bottle of house red which was excellent. The nuts were a generous portion and delicious. The food was overall excellent, and the main of rabbit ragu was incredible — so rich and flavourful, with a really generous portion. We also opted to share a desert which was baklava semi fredo with pistachio crumble which again was huge and incredibly tasty. I also had a brilliant old fashioned to finish. Overall two of ate incredibly well, shared a bottle of wine and a cocktail and costed £60 total, which we felt was really reasonable for the quality of the food.

4.5 star, where are you when I need you? I have been dying to try Manna for months. It’s just a out of the way for a casual meal and Westbury isn’t somewhere I’ve spent much time. But I was put in charge of booking a place for dinner with some friends on a Saturday evening, so I booked Manna straight away! Manna looks SO nice from outside. It looks really cost, intimate and with dim candle lighting projecting onto the street. In fact, it makes you want wine before you’ve walked in. It’s a lot different to a lot of place in Central Bristol and felt as if we were somewhere else. Which I like! After been shown to our table we checked out the menu, which has 4 sections: aperitifs, appetisers, starters/small plates and mains. I’ve added a photo of the menu. Me and my girlfriend shared a beetroot started which was lovely. She and the other two people we were with all went for the roast spring lamb and they all liked it, but didn’t love it. It came with a cucumber and chickpea salad, which don’t come across by the menu. What they it was delicious, just a bit unexpected. I on the other hand went for 2 starters and absolutely loved them both. I had the beef shin with gnocchi and chorizo, tiger prawn and guinea fowl. Oh my god, that was some seriously good food! A couple of the gnocchi were slightly chewy, but that is really my only grumble! The service was brilliant and out waitress was lovely — she event gave us a free shot at the end of the meal. I’d definitely like to go back and see what’s on the menu during autumn; hopefully some lovely game dishes. I’ve never wanted to give a 4.5 star more!
