The original Pro 5 complex, this is slightly inferior to the Filton venue, though not so much that if you live in the south of Bristol, you should trek all the way ‘up north’ for a game. Basically, they run different leagues(at pretty much all standards) on different days of the week. As I said in my review of Filton, the ‘exuberant’ attitude of some of the participants puts me off(and the fact that I’m sh1t at 5-a-side!). Most of the teams seem to be made up of a mixture of aggressive/argumentative Savages, and luminous boot wearing stepover monkeys who can’t actually pass, track back or, for that matter, dribble. Also, the price isn’t great(most teams charge around £6 for a 40 minute game), though if 5-a-side footie’s your thing, this place is as good as any.

I can only review the football and fitness center since that’s all I ever used. Their gym is small(very very small), but well equipped with one of the best places to stretch I’ve ever seen. Plus, so many of the athletes that go there have a personal trainer, it’s great for spying and picking up new workout techniques. The staff is really friendly and helpful, which makes easing into a new facility a lot easier. My boyfriend and some of my friends played football there, as well as reffed, so I had an opportunity to watch A LOT of games. It seems a decent enough pitch, but I wouldn’t know much about that. It’s a fun place, but the players get aggressive. I’ve watched games up in Liverpool and the guys there just want to play and have fun(most the time). In Bristol, it’s almost like they have something to prove. ESPECIALLY the younger ones. Fights are common and tempers are often in full swing. Someone always has to ruin it for everyone else, I suppose!
