Bikes, bikes, bikes. There is no better way to get around Bristol. Psyclewerx is a well run cycling shop, with young people working in it. So far as purchasing bikes goes it seems to have a larger selection of mountain bikes rather than road bikes. I popped in to get a puff of my air put into my tyres, they joked with me about not being a paying customer etc. but since I have been back they recognise me and it is a bit of an on going joke. they do very competitively priced Bike MOT’s and they are a lot smilier that the in the shop at the top of Black Boy hill, and they are independent unlike places like Evans cycles.

I hate cycling. Actually, I love leisurely riding on a hot summer’s day, it is the hardcore cycling I try and steer clear of. I find the fanatics of crazy, painful cycling equally as terrifying. Therefore, when my boyfriend told me he was getting a bike for his birthday and he would like a helmet, I knew I had to enter the scary domain of bike land. Walking up to the shop I saw rows and rows of bikes inside the window just looking at me smirking but I braved the unknown. The music made me feel at ease immediately — Britney Spears, oh yeah! I knew nothing about bikes and the staff must have picked up on this so gladly helped me pick out something perfect. They made me buy more fancy gizmos than I thought necessary for somebody who just wanted to ride a bike to university and back, but the prices were reasonable and I was assured they were all top-quality products. I would recommend this place for any keen cyclists out there who will surely appreciate the amazing range and superiority of products on display more than I did.
