I risked this ‘non-city-centre’ hair salon only after trying a branch of Reflections in Bristol city centre first. I should explain that for me, hair cuts have always been a sort of form of torture. I sometimes allow myself to get a little bit excited before I go, thinking that this time it’s going to be an enjoyable experience — but once I get there and they start snipping away I always get that sinking feeling: either they’re cutting off too much, or they’re chopping in too many layers, or the colour’s all wrong. That worry, doubled with the fact that most hairdressers complain about the thickness of my hair(sorry for the inconvenience!), usually take all the enjoyment out of the hair cut. I can’t say the Keynsham Reflections experience was really any different, but that says more about me than the salon. The important thing is that the staff there all seem to be really friendly and professional, and I came away feeling quite satisfied with my hair cut — and with the silky smoothness left by the Moroccan Oil product they used to finish(I was almost persuaded to buy a bottle, before they told me it cost nearly £30). They even complimented me on my hair, instead of bemoaning its thickness!
