Cozy pub, good beers, nice staff. I ended up here after a long walk around the harborside and was happy to have beer poured without wild aggression(yay, actually having carbonation!), comfortable furniture to sit on, wifi, and music that wasn’t too loud or obnoxious. The right sort of place to go if you want to be comfortable and not too bothered.

I came in here with some mates for breakfast the other day. It was brilliant. They do a big breakfast with all the usual trimings and some added extra’s like black budding for £6.50, and they do the rose breakfast which is essentially a full cooked breakfast which is £5. This may sound like alot of money but the food is incredible. Also they were late with a couple of my friends veggie breakfasts(only by literally 2 minutes) so without us even saying anything they said we were not going to be charged for it! Brilliant. THe place itself has a really nice new feel about it, and with some classic red leather sofa’s right by a fire give it a great english pub feel. I would definatley recommend going to this place.

I drive passed this place all of the time and can’t really miss it as it’s right next to the flyover and the exterior walls are painted pink. As a pub it’s pretty good with a decent enough atmosphere, a nice selection of beers and lagers on tap, but what this place prides itself on however, is it’s food, and more specifically, it’s Sunday roast. Believe there’s a sign outside(or at least there used to be) claiming they served Bristol’s best Sunday roast. Being something of a sucker for an extravagant claim, I decided to test this proclamation and to be honest. They might be right. I’m not a big fan of roasts in pub, but there’s is very, very good. Beef was tender, veg tasted fresh and the all important roasties were excellent.

Perched, almost under a flyover leading out towards the airport from the gorge, The Rose Of Denmark is noticeable, though it is a rather awkward place to get to if you are not one who enjoys and amble through Hotwells. It’s a homely traditional pub that has obviously undergone a makeover in recent years. They serve food, and the staff are friendly. It’d make a great local pub iif it wasn’t so expensive.

Classic old Bristol pub located just off the riverside in Hotwells, you can’t miss it with it’s pink-painted exterior! There’s a friendly local atmosphere upstairs in the pub while the quaint little restaurant downstairs serves good Sunday lunches. A roast beef dinner was done well, and portions were generous, while classic puddings were tempting– leave a little space! Nothing pretentious, just good value, honest pub grub!

The last time I went to the Rose of Denmark was on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Undeniably pink from the outside, inside were some colourful characters too, including someone who had cut the forearms off his own shirt, but left the cuffs on. Very odd. However, there was some lovely music on that occasion, and the atmosphere was very friendly. The staff are great, the interior is welcoming and comfortable in a traditional way, and the beer is excellent. Outside there are some tables and seats, which is perfect for warm summers days and nights, even if you cant decide between short and long sleeves.
