This is such a cool little surf and skater haven; the store is packed with stock. I have the balance of a drunken toddler so I’m not much a skater but I do like to dress like I can surf when on the beach, and their selection of board shorts is the coolest I have found in the city. Although most of them don’t fit my child bearing hips, which is a real shame, I will always try and squeeze them on because they look so good.
The owner was really lovely and helpful though — he was convinced I could squeeze into a pair of the board shorts they sold — unfortunately on that occasion they were wrong.
I do love skiing though and the upstairs section of this shop is full of amazing snowboards for all manners of people at different skill levels. They will help you pick out the best stuff so you look like you know what you’re doing on the mountain.

This small surf, skate and snowboard shop is tucked behind Park Street, up on Park Row. It’s probably best known for selling a good range of snowboards, but you can also buy ski goggles, surf boards, skateboards, jackets and other clothing, sports watches, and those annoying Heelys trainers with wheels on the bottom that enable kids to scoot around the supermarket barely using their legs.
I’ve only been in here once, in the hope of buying a t-shirt as a present for a surfy friend, but despite the friendly staff I didn’t find anything that caught my eye. The brands and prices are quite expensive, but the same goes for all other shops selling surf and winter sports equipment, so it’s certainly worth a look if you’re into any of these sports.

Shark Bite is another really handy shop on Park Row that you have probably walked past a number of times and never realised it was there! I have never had the need to go in, but they owners obviously must have realised both local Universities have big Ski trips and smacked the shop right outside Bristol University.
I have been in with my friends who needed to be kitted out and the staff were wonderful. They never once complained as we kept sending the outfits back for a different size/colour. Prices were high, but that is expected due to the location of the shop and the fact that they’re selling skiing stuff. Worth a look if you are about to go on a trip!
