Stokes Croft Museum is amazing! I went to the opening night last night, and I was blown away!
I’m really reticent to tell you why it’s so good, because I don’t want to spoil it for you… I just want to tell you to go there, and check it out for yourselves. It will make you think … it will may you laugh… and it will make you angry and sad in equal measure. In short, it will do what art is meant to do… that being to provoke a response, even in the most indifferent observer!
What I will tell you is that the Stokes Croft Museum brings together all that is good about the Croft. There are several key influences brought to bare in this space, and it is the product of some really inspirational collaboration.
Stokes Croft is really happening these days… and all credit must go to the people behind PRSC and Hamilton House, as well as the new Arts House and some of the more long term businesses like Kuvuku.
It just makes me want to say: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
And here’s a personal note to Chris, (who is seminal within PRSC… sorry mate… I bought the Talula Bankhead canvas)
