If you are in search of a simple kind of pub with a laid back vibe, The Coronation will cater for your needs. Located in a quiet, suburban area of Bedminster, this pub is the perfect venue to enjoy a relaxing drink and a packet of pork scratchings or two. There are a good selection of beers available here, and hot food is also served. If you are fond of pizza, you should really try The Coronation’s homemade specials — definitely one of the pub’s assets. Staff here are friendly and welcoming, and prices are reasonable.

Very close to both Parson Street station and Bedminster railway station, The Coronation is well placed as a venue for people of Bristol, and of course Bedminster to visit after work(and sometimes before! But never tell the boss!). Quite a small pub, it does mean that it’s good to go there for a quiet few pints with some friends. The homemade pizzas on offer here are pretty good, and it’s great to see people enjoying home-cooked Pizza’s as apose to the Domino’s variety that seems tobe taking over the planet! The Pizza’s are great washed down with one of the many lagers and ales that are available. Service is friendly and you are made to feel like you are a regular if you’ve only been in once or twice before which is great!

This is a locals pub which sits in a residential area on Dean Lane in Southville. Some of the bars around here can be a tad rough but this is definitely one of the friendlier establishments in the area. There’s nothing particularly exciting here(they do have a pub quiz!) but it’s a nice little one room local done well. There’s a cosy atmosphere(though the lights are always on too bright for some reason), a nice wooden interior and a good range of ciders, including Stowford Press and Jenny’s Jungle Juice. Not the best pub in the world but a good choice if you’re in the area.
