Excellent meal and best rump steak I think I have ever eaten! Cooked to perfection which when you like your steak rare is unusual! Service was excellent as well!

I remember Yate shopping centre as a kid, it’s home to the town leisure centre so have fond memories of going swimming followed by a trip to the local supermarket. Not much has changed in Yate since then, other than they have had a revamp, things are looking a bit more shiney and modern. There’s plenty of free parking here and good public transport. You won’t find high end stores but will find high street shops, affordable, accessible and there’s everything from clothes, groceries to pharmacies. If you can’t face the busy Bristol/broadmead shops then it might be worth giving Yate a try!

I live in Yate and there is everything you need at Yate shopping centre… although it would be nice to have a mothercare here! they should replace it with one of the many mobile phone shops that are not really ALL needed! lol There is soon to be a new and bigger Tesco here which will be a big asset to Yate shopping centre i think.

I’ve not been to the town of Yate, but Yate Shopping Centre and the area around it pleasantly surprised me. A vast ground brings together everything your heart desires — or your teeth or your heart because the library, the clinic, and the Lloyds Pharmacy are all situated close to one another. The shops are diverse and sundry, including Peacocks, Bonmarche, Millets, Evans, and many more. There are a few eateries, of which I tried and loved Boswells Café. A few banks are located within the centre, although I mainly noted Halifax.

This is quite a large shopping centre for the size of the town with loads of choice there’s about 50 shops and restaurants and all are really well set out. One of the best things is the parking which is free and theres loads of it so even at christmastime I manged to park really easily and while the centre is normally busy unlike cribbs you can actually move around and enjoy your trip. Theres a good mix of stores both expensive and cheap so ther really is something for everyone.
