Establishment has been called the ewe and lamb for some years. It is popular, serves good food and, i am told, good beer.

having dined here four times and received wonderful service and food we were surprised not only a change of manager but the food had got to the state of some was uneatable. The new manageress had a so what attitude and bordered on rudeness. No offer of a deduction of things from bill. The situation was made worse by the way we decided to dine there. We had been there a few times times with our 86 year old neighbour, and to other restaurants, and this was our neighbours choice to take her son who was visiting her from Hong Kong. She could not wait to take her son to eat at a top restaurant, to show him she was getting out after her husband/​his father had died earlier in the year, the disappointment showed as, and left nearly in tears. I wrote to the owners in August, and all I asked for was a letter of apology to our neighbour. They did not write to our neighbour or acknowledge my email. So if you do eat at this restaurant and get bad service and food do not expect anything but a bill.

I’d definitely call the menu at Epic Bar Brasserie eclectic and makes me think that the owner/​chef got all of the latest techniques and banged them together in one menu. This makes it appear like it doesn’t hang together very well. Having said that, I did enjoy my meal — the Italian fish stew was delicious. The décor is modern and the staff are professsional and courteous.
