Forest Harvester

It’s a bit hit and miss here and the quality of the food can vary as well as the service.
I’ve been here several times and sometimes it can take awhile for the food to arrive or its clearly been under the heat lamps for awhile.
I’ve never had any problems with the waiting staff as they always seem friendly and check if the meals have been OK.

This Harvester, on the motorway roundabout at the M42 Junction 1, is what it is. It’s convenience food. Quick, easy and a family favorite. Occasionally you may have a decent waitress/​waiter, but on a friday evening trip myself and a friend were dealt a waitress with the personality of a paving slab. No smiles, no check-​backs and minimal effort to impress.
The waitress aside though, the food was decent and the restaurant was clean and tidy.
I’ll probably be back here… it’s comfort food.

This is a Harvester Restaurant and ideally located on the island of Junction 1 of the M42 Motorway.
There were seven in our party & we visited on a Sunday Lunch-​time. The seating seemed a bit cramped and the inside is fairly dark.
After a trip to the salad bar, our main courses arrived. All the meals were enjoyed, although the kids burger seemed to be overcooked, if not a little burnt! The service up to this point was very good but by the time we ordered deserts, the restaurant was becoming more busy & this resulted in us feeling very rushed by the waitress. The desets arrived and one with ice cream looked liked it had been thrown together as the majority of it had melted and was all down the outside of the dishnot very good presentation! It was a pity that we felt that they wanted us off the table as quickly as possible, as we had enjoyed the majority of our visit.
Parking is fairly good but the pub does get very busy, so get there early!
Drinks were good & the final bill was under £50 for 7 of us! Price isn’t everything however & the Pub should improve service & avoid rushing customers along.
